Fan, Baiding

Fan Baiding received his Ph.D. in Art History at China Academy of Art and has worked there since 2012. He is a lecturer, responsible for courses about western art history and the documentary history of art. He previously visited and stayed at the Warburg Institute in order to prepare his doctoral dissertation on Panofsky’s intellectual growth. Fan Baiding has published several articles about artistic theories in the Renaissance, especially Alberti’s. He is also interested in the historiography of art history and the tradition of iconography.
